I could say a lot here- most notably that they wouldn't NEED to do this if they hadn't sold the syndication rights, and also that if someone wants to hear the story of Pedro they'd be better served reading Judd's book- but mostly I'm just impressed at how much the actors look nothing like the people they're playing.
I guess it's a logical mistake, though. Where could they possibly get any decent footage to work from? These people were only on camera for three months straight.
Also, they're making a Hunger Games movie.
On the one hand, I can't figure out how it would translate to film at all. On the other hand, a lot of my initial shock and disbelief has been taken care of by the Real World TV movie. It's nice, the way perspective can neutralize everything.
